Hole No.12, a short "Par 4," is one of the most
picturesque but most demanding of an accurate drive on the entire course.
To keep from hitting under, over, or through the many ancient pecan trees that
guard the green, strive for the "landing spot" in the left quadrant of the
fairway. On your approach-shot, accuracy again is a must. Approach shots that come up
"short" may land in one of the front bunkers. Approach shots that come up "long" will roll
off the back of the green and down the steep slope leading to the river.
Driving to the left and carefully executing your short game, however, will
ensure a well-deserved par. |
